Wendigo
Sonnet
Where do you think you are, lost Wanderer?
It is not here, the world you're searching for.
Look at all the darkness over yonder,
Do you know what lies in the forest's core?
I know what's inside the deepest shadow,
I've heard the stories of his endless life.
Some say he lives in all of our marrow,
He claims your soul if you kill with a knife.
They call him Fear, the cruel hand of Death,
To try and run away is all in vain.
He takes control when you hunger for flesh,
And turns you into a monster of pain.
Don't believe the Wendigo is a myth,
So be careful of who you travel with.
